Airfares eye on to go high again

Ahead of any announcement, the Indian civil aviation industry surmises to increase in fares during upcoming festive seasons. A month earlier of Dassera, Durga Puja and Dewali, the costly carol of Christmas has yet started blaring out vexing vacations much in advance.

Today’s freebies a medley crease

The freebies-era’s been on for a long, leaving travellers trailing for a snatch-deal by enticing them with dazzling offers to snap on for free at least. So do a great many travel-trackers work for introducing “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” or Das Ka Dum (the power of ten) on international flights. Doesn’t it come out too charming to get one? How hell any marketer can go without playing a market-mojos? No one can deny it.

The travel portals and dealers kick off a lot many offers in off-season and on-season. They sorely make people choosier than ever, and of them some think whether to choose discounts or snap the rare proffer up to trip. Such deals appear once in a blue moon only.

For instance, a month’s before, Cleartrip.com also launched such offer, but restricted travellers to all but a few payment options. Travellers could use ICICI Credit or Debit Card only. It comes out to me that the portals would have cleared off almost all payment options but one left for viators to pay by. Undeniably the act assures collusive connivance of both (ICICI Bank and Cleartrip) evidently.

Much less of its clearly controlled payment-plan, if you see, maximum time-limit was of 58 days, while tourers were allowed to snap free tickets 4 times only.

Normally, it happens that the change in date of travel on these free tickets is not permissible once flight tickets are booked. It means that in the event you fall in an unwanted quandary, helplessly you will have to postpone your travel.

Above all, no redemption is disbursed on the free tickets to travellers. Now else pay for the entire travel cost again leaving no concessionary coupon-content or book another international ticket to get one more free ticket out in two working days.

If you’re hapless enough to snap one, wait either for another day or keep yourself free ever from any important work to make constant calls until you receive the customer care support.

Still helpless to understand how handful of airlines could offer one-on-one free ticket? I’m in medley.

Canada’s airlines show recovery, but also

Canada’s airline industry is to post profit of C$192 Mln this year, and does expect to go up by C$360 Mln and C$500 million by 2011 and 2014 respectively, a report says.

But cost-conscious travellers, much less penny pinchers, are still making hard for the sector to raise prices and convalesce fully. Passengers are enjoying a much-improved air service, yet industry is several years away from getting to its prerecession profit level mark.

However, low-cost carrier, WestJet, one of the few North American airlines, remained profitable even through the recession.

Canada’s airlines will have to wait unit next year when its civil aviation industry stands on more solid ground. And then, travellers will gain more confidence in their financial situation.

The sharp turnaround came by from a pre-tax loss of C$380 million last year. It was industry’s first loss in five years, as the global slowdown terribly upset travel demand worldwide.

The crisis-hit civil aviation industry of Canada signifies slow recovery from last’s year plunge in demand. It’s positive sign for travellers to travel again.

World’s smallest ever flight seat unveils

Attention to passengers find economy class seats too cramped for comfort, as they are about to get even smaller.

Even the highest density airline seating normally offers 28 inches of seat pitch. But this newly innovative airline seat will allow more passengers to be cramped into aircraft with allowing more seats to fit in. These seats are just similar to that of touring motor-scooter rider.

More speculations are bidding that most low-cost carriers are expected to allow the number of passengers to fly on aircraft by adding ancillary charges and ramp up profits.

Majority of airliners are likely to consider this possible option to keep airfares low to earn more profits.

International flights to rake up demand

The civil aviation is badly hit by global financial cues. Even travel industry could not uphold its economic neutrality anyhow. Being a big boost to the global economy, international flights had to face off fierce financial fuss. Yet it could rake up demand with going on a variety of travel products on sales amid difficult financial times. It could generate viable demands, and airliners later bailed out at the same time beautifully. It’s truly astonishing, isn’t it?

People turn ‘price sensitive’ in the wake of finding themselves in any sort of money-mess, as they may have to pay extra penny for air travel. This is a natural phenomenon, which impacts the money market directly affecting the whole of the market scenario adversely. If any spike in international oil market erupts, the airfares of international flights go up automatically. It is compulsive. No airliner is ever ready to bear the burden of loss. Every air carrier goes in for expanding its business, possibly with boosting some stimulus offers sometimes, especially in the wake of serious slump in claims, in order to spawn viable demand.

Convincingly, some airlines have come out with flying colors while the others are rightly being paid on the same coin. It is paradoxically though, yet a bitter reality of the civil aviation after all. In the recent spate of instance, BA (British Airways) and AI (Air India) are some examples with burning belligerently in the recession worldwide, and likely to tumble down very soon if no any bail-out plan is readily allocated to the air carrier in time. One can hope for the best only.

In this regard, International airlines have started offering a wide range of cheap international tickets in the face of fading demands. Not only do airliners are vying for creating claims with boosting attractive offers, but travelers also are scouring for cheap international flights for their travel.
