More flights to get south India soon

More flights are likely to boost air service in South India. This is to promote regional connectivity. Good news it brings for travellers in quest of booking flight tickets to any part of southern India. It becomes possible after in-principal approval of the ministry of civil aviation to Freedom Aviation Pvt. Ltd, a Mumbai-based company, to start scheduled flight operations in the south.

The company has also expected to import six state-of-the-art aircrafts, including ATR-72 and Bombardier, for that. Both the aircrafts have the capacity to carry over 60—70 passengers for more than 2500 Km.

Official sources confirm the licence to start a regional airline. The airline will operate from any airport in the four designated regions, including major tier-II cities, to any India’s airport.

As of now, no regional airline was operating in this part of country.
